Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love doing what interests the child. If they have been brought up in a very active family,, I would love nothing more than to go outside and play ball or tag. Some kids are very down to earth and enjoy books so reading is definitely a go-to especially when its time to calm down. I try to steer away from electronics and make them excited to play with their toys. I feel as though it helps us bond a little better when we are completing tasks together.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Making sure the kids are having fun, responding well to me, and being taken care of. As a sitter I make sure to abide by the parents wants. I find joy in making the kiddos meals, bathing them, and reading them a book before bed.
My experience with special needs children...
I volunteered in a special needs organization called Special Olympics for 3 years
The most important part about being a nanny...
I love when the kids I watch come up and hug me. It always melted my heart when they'd crawl up to me with a book as well. That always lets me know that I'm doing a good job.
