One of my favorite moments was when a little one I cared for counted to three in Spanish for the first time—“uno, dos, tres!” We had been learning numbers in both English and Spanish through songs and play. Hearing them proudly say it on their own made me so happy—it reminded me how natural and joyful learning can be with the right support.
