Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked alongside my mother at her daycare for 3 years before she decided to close it down. During that time, I helped care for children of different ages, from infants to school-aged kids. My responsibilities included helping with meals, planning fun activities, reading with the children, assisting with naps, and keeping the environment safe and clean. That hands-on experience gave me a lot of patience, organization skills, and a deeper understanding of how to balance play with structure.

I enjoy planning a variety of activities that are both enjoyable and educational. Indoors, I focus on reading, arts and crafts, puzzles, and structured play that supports creativity and learning. Outdoors, I like to encourage physical activity through walks, bike rides, park outings, and interactive games. The most important part about being a nanny is making sure children feel safe, loved, and supported. Kids need someone they can trust, who listens to them, and who creates an environment where they can learn and have fun. I believe it’s about being patient, dependable, and treating every child with the same care and attention you’d want for your own family.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience working with children who have autism as well as children who use wheelchairs. While helping at my mother’s daycare, I learned how important it is to be patient, attentive, and adaptable to each child’s individual needs. I made sure activities were inclusive and enjoyable, and I always focused on creating a supportive, safe environment where every child felt cared for and included.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite memories was a summer ‘water day’ at the daycare. With parents’ permission, we set up a kiddie pool and water balloons, and the kids had the best time laughing and splashing around. It reminded me how rewarding it is to create fun and safe moments that kids will always remember.
