A little bit about me

Hey, my name is Jailyn but the kids just call me Jae. I love working with kids, it's the only job that has genuinely brought me joy. I have been watching children since I was 15 and got my first licensed facility job in November 2021. I work with all age groups and I interact with kids on all levels. I love to learn sign language and Spanish along with teaching the kids the little I learn every day. I currently attend Grand Canyon University in pursuit of my psychology degree to become a psychologist.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked at Little Einstein preschool for a couple of months and was the school-age teacher. With my students, we stayed active by just dance on the wii and playing games during recess. I always helped with homework and all school activities first before any fun activities. In addition to that I had to cover for my other teachers from time to time so I have experience in all the other classrooms. My next job was at Little Kids N Company where I was the pre-k teacher and taught them Spanish and sign language. Now I work at Rising Stars Daycare and I'm going to be the teacher of the four soon. I have all my credentials and more for example I have my article 9 certification. Which most caregivers my age don't have. I just want to be a great addition to your family and help out. My goal in getting my psychology degree is so that I will be the person I needed as a child to other children and people.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Having the kids know that they have a safe space outside of their parents and they are loved and cared for.

My experience with special needs children...

I haven't worked just one on one with a special needs child but I have had them in my classes. I see them as no different from the other kids except they just need a little more patience and love.
