The most important part about being a nanny...
When I get to witness the child(ren) reach specific milestones… holding head independently, rolling over, grasping concepts of crawling, standing, and walking. It’s always cool to be apart of this, even more fun when you can recognize how excited the child is from doing so as well.

Babysitter Available in Chicago, IL: Adriana R.
I have both paid and volunteer childcare experience working with children ranging from ages 2–5 through elementary school. In my roles as a Teacher Aide and Student Teacher, I supported teachers in creating structured, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environments. My responsibilities included assisting with daily routines, activities, transitions, classroom management, and lesson implementation while helping students build independence and confidence.
I also collaborated closely with teachers, staff, and families to support student success and foster positive, nurturing relationships with children. These experiences strengthened my ability to work patiently, responsibly, and effectively with children in both classroom and childcare settings.

Live-In Full-Time Nanny Available in Chicago, IL: Diamond J.
Hello! My name is Diamond. Although I do not have any professional experience as a nanny, I do have years of personal experience. Growing up my mom had to work multiple jobs to care for us. By me being the oldest, I had to look out for my younger siblings at the age of 8 years old! As I got older, family members and even friends of family members paid me to watch their children. I love kids so very much. They are my passion. I love how free they are and I love that I can live and care for them and protect them from the real world dangers of basically life lol . Before withdrawing from college to start working full time to pay for bills, I was majoring in education. I would love to be a teacher someday. Throughout school, I tutored many of my classmates. Sometimes without even knowing the subject, but because of my kind and gentle spirit people came to me anyways because they found comfort in me and knew I was willing to help them achieve anything even if I had to learn the skill alone.

Full-Time Nanny Available in Chicago, IL: Jay H.
I'm originally from Colombia, arrived in 2015 as an Aupair (Philly-Portland, OR). After the Au pair program, I decided to move and (later)stay in SD.
I speak Spanish/English fluently and basic ASL, which I teach to the babies.
Every single one of my past jobs have been with 2m-18m old. My extensive experience is mainly focused on that age gap, (it’s also my favorite 😆)
I have tried/experienced every method out there regarding sleep training, solids, routine, baths, potty, feeding schedules, formula brands and colic/reflux babies.
After covid, I decided to follow the steps to become a Paramedic. Currently, I attend evening classes to be an EMT.
I’m a transgender man, I was born and lived most of my life as a woman. Now I use he/him pronouns. Some families may feel uneasy at the idea of a “manny”, but once you see me interact with them, you'll realize I'm a baby whisperer. My gift is to understand non verbal cues = babies language 🤷🏽♂️
