To me, the most important part of being a nanny is building trust and creating a safe, nurturing environment where children feel comfortable to explore, learn, and grow. It’s not just about keeping kids entertained—it’s about connecting with them, understanding their needs, and being a positive role model. Every child is unique, and I believe it's essential to approach each day with patience, empathy, and a sense of fun!
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments as a nanny was when a little boy I cared for finally learned to tie his shoes after weeks of practice together. We had turned it into a fun daily routine, and when he finally got it on his own, he was so proud—he ran around showing everyone. Seeing that confidence boost and knowing I helped him get there was such a rewarding feeling. It reminded me how meaningful even the small wins are in a child’s day!
