Before moving to Oregon, I volunteered in girl scouts which I had also been a part of since I was little. I started baby sitting when I was 12 for 3 little girls as well as my sister. From there I kept getting referred to other moms for date nights or long term.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy going to parks and for long walks. I love to play games and do educational crafts. Weather permitting, I love to swim and have taught two of the little ones I used to care for within a few weeks.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of the summers I was taking the girls to the pool. I remember them being scared to swim, but wanting to jump off the diving board. So I made it my mission to teach them how to. Within a couple weeks, we were in the deep end just having so much fun. Seeing their smiles made it worth it on top of teaching a new skill.
