More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I've worked in a few different daycare centers, and have also helped my mother with in home daycare. I also have several years experience watching family and friends children ranging in all ages infants to teenagers. I've always loved kids and worked really well with them. I feel like this is my passion. Also i helped my best friend (who passed in jan 2022) raise her 2 little boys until she passed and i still watch them sometimes. Feel free to ask any questions at all!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to play learning games. I always try to teach them as we play. But I also take them outside to play if the weather permits. We enjoy going to the park. I like to read books to them. And also always want to ask them what activities they like to do so we can also do those. And If they younger and can't make those decisions then I try to keep it learning lessons and also some playing. And of course if there was anything the parents wanted me to do with their children to keep them in a routine im completely fine with that.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Is connecting with the family and children. Getting to know them and the kids becoming comfortable with you. Knowing that you are there to take care of them and the family/parents knowing they are well taken care of! Also making sure the parents and any one else in the home feels comfortable with me. I'm very easy going and love getting to do this part time.
My experience with special needs children...
I do have some experience working with autistic kids, kids that are not as developed as the others, and kids with speech issues and also with behavioral issues.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I love being with a family for quite awhile but it can also be bittersweet when you are done. You can get attached really easily. So I just love getting to spend time with them and make them feel like they have another person that is there for them. Even if its just 2 or 3 days a week I always want them and the family to feel as comfortable as they should be able too and make sure they know I would never let anything happen.
