Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I worked in daycare in my 20's. I also took child development classes and psychology in adult school. I taught Bible study to 4th&5thgrade and also 7th&8th grade also in my 20's. I spent a lot of time entertaining my nieces and nephews while they were younger and it always was such a good time. I would find different things to do with them. We made candles, stepping stones, macaroni art and the list goes on. We played games inside & outside. All that energy children have needs to be used learning&playing moving around not sitting in front of a television in the house all day.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Playing games like Simon says, red light green light hopscotch. Or going to a park maybe having a picnic in the backyard even. Kids love that.
I àlso like baking cookies or making jello jigglers and letting the children cut out shapes with cookie cutters. Then eat them if course. It's fun to watch the little ones trying to keep the jello jigglers from slipping out of there hands. 😊 I like doing whatever the child or children want to do. I also love reading books to children watching how excited they get as I tell the story. I love making things with them. Or helping a child surprise there parent(s) for a birthday or other special occasion. It always gives them such pleasure to show there parents how much they love them and I love helping with that.
And last but not least schoolwork/homework. Homework is very important so that is always first when I'm dealing with school age children.

My experience with special needs children...
I have a 24yr old daughter who has special needs. Dawn Marie is developmentally slow. She was in special education throughout school although she put in the work to get a high school diploma instead of just a certificate of completion. She also rode horses and did tricks on the horses. Dawn also was the first special Ed. student to ever speak at graduation. She tried out with everyone else and was picked as one of the top 3. We worked hard to memorize that speech...oops. She worked hard. Lol. It was amazing I was so proud. She swam for special.olympics winning many gold and silver medals. She was even on the news for her swimming and her speech. First ever in Kern county. So I have a lot of experience with disabilities or disabled people. I spent summers helping at camp and volunteered a lot at many funtions.
