Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

My experience includes working with numerous agencies that support individuals with disabilities, and I currently provide relief care for my disabled brother. I also have brief experience in after-school programs and tutoring. For ten years, I participated in a summer program for at-risk youth, which involved a week-long adventure in the mountains with activities such as camping, mountain biking, horseback riding, and white-water rafting.

I appreciate being active, and I fondly remember growing up in the 90s. I'm always seeking engaging, hands-on activities that stimulate creativity. During pleasant weather, we enjoy outdoor activities. In colder months, we participate in indoor activities such as arts and crafts, reading, and skill-building exercises.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My priority is to have a positive influence on the children's lives, serving as a role model and providing support whenever they need it, so they can always rely on me without worry.

My experience with special needs children...

Since I was raised with a disabled brother, it was very common for me to be around the disabled community. Since I also currently work with an agency that supports the disabled ilI am very confident in many aspects of children with special needs. I work with you to make sure all safety measures are in place, if we are going on any activities away from the house, I will make sure we sit down to go over all the precautions that are needed for that activity. If there is an IEP, even though this is not through an agency, I can help make sure those are followed as well. I have worked with various disabilities and am comfortable with the various behaviors that can be associated with some.

The most important part about being a nanny...

There are so many wonderful things that I find it difficult to choose just one. I especially cherish witnessing the joy of a child who, after numerous attempts, finally masters a new skill and beams with pride. Building connections with new families, particularly the moment when the initial awkwardness fades and the children become comfortable with me, is also incredibly rewarding.
