A little bit about me

I have worked with kids as a camp counselor, I am incredibly patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic. I grew up in a house with sisters and love to stay moving, be creative, and keep a fun, safe environment. I do have first aid knowledge and I myself have a lot of dietary restrictions as well as food allergies so I am very well versed on how to keep food safe if there are allergies or restrictions. I really enjoyed working with kids throughout high school and my college years. I am a very neat person and keep things organized. Previously, I have cleaned the home and done laundry, as well as prepped lunches, dinners, or done some light errands as well as driving kids to and from school, play dates, or taking them out to breakfast, lunch, the park, etc. I am very flexible and looking to work 30 hours a week or more!! More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Counselor at summer camp (worked specifically with 5-7 year old girls), nannied for a baby with special needs (10 months old). I have nannied for a family of 2 boys over the years when I was in college.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing crafting, puzzles, cooking, movies, board games, etc. outdoor activities that could include chalk, in the summer I have done water activities, in the winter playing in the snow, if it is not too cold out as the winter is approaching going on walks, going to the park, playing basketball or soccer. I like to stay active and keep a fun exchange ring environment where there is some sort of component of physical activity as it keeps everyone excited and happy and can be really fun for everyone involved.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Patience, compassion, listening, and working together to make sure everyone from child to parents to nanny are all on the same page and are all having a positive experience.

My experience with special needs children...

I worked with a very compromised 10 month old baby boy when I was in college who had issues with his sight, required a walker, hearing, sensory related issues, and required constant attention and care as his development was not as fast as other children I would feed him and change him and would be holding him a large amount of the time but am very grateful for the experience. I enjoyed working with him as he was a very sweet boy and taught me a lot about working with children as well as patience and milestones.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I made an entire cardboard cutout Star Wars themed fort for a boy and girl I was nannying and we had a Star Wars themed day with their lunches, snacks, we watched the movie and all dressed up and I had as much fun as they did as we all put effort and creativity into the day.
