More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have led VBS, church groups, and been a camp counselor at several different church camps. I was also an Adult Youth Leader for YoungLife of West. I have worked in a daycare for a short period of time when I was in high school. I have always babysat growing up and then during college last year I decided to begin Nannying, my first family I cared for a 2 year old and 6 month old. And then my current family whom I will be having to part with soon- Is 10yo boy, 7yo boy, 5yo girl & 2yo boy. For this family I do a lot of housework and packing lunches, potty training, laundry, dishes, floors, taking kids to school, baseball games, urban air, as well as meal prep, cooking meals, helping with homework, and since I have been with this family for almost a year now I am allowed to displine as recommend by the parents and their guidelines of course. I also work on-call for this family 100% of the time due to the mother being a midwife. If you have any questions please reach out!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy spending time doing activities the kids already enjoy doing, I take initiate in learning what each child already has interest in, and using that as a tool to brainstorm other ideas on possible way I can use that to learn. Not just to learn- having fun sometimes is always necessary. But nothings wrong with sprinkling in good mannerisms and teaching young children how to treat others by giving them examples based on maybe their favorite disney character is or marvel superhero!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The kids, always. Bonding with them and making them feel safe & happy. As well as being able to handle stressful situations correctly and effectively. Overall the most important thing about being a nanny is ensuring the children's safety and making sure I am being as useful as possible in the most effective areas that I am needed. Not only that aspect, but also being on time, and having open communication always! Things happen, games get canceled, moms have to work late, I am pretty flexible and as long as we have open communication there should never be any issues! 😊
