My experience with special needs children...
My boyfriends sister is autistic, I've been around her for a little over 2 years. She's such an amazing kid. She loves spending time with me, she looks up to me as an older sister. Most of the time I'm the only girl in the house, so she likes to hang out with me and I give her all the attention she loves and needs. Of course there are good and bad days, but to me, they are all good days with learning experiences. Everyday is an amazing day with her.
The most important part about being a nanny...
When the kids are laughing so hard just because a balloon makes a funny sound or the dog does something funny, like chasing his/her tail. Makes me smile and laugh every time.
