I also began tutoring math in my senior year, working with middle and high school students on geometry and algebra. During school breaks I help coach kids’ baseball and soccer, I volunteer teaching art to elementary schools, and I help around at my younger siblings schools, teaching the students to read and assisting the teachers to organize their classrooms. This past spring I was in Spain for three months babysitting and teaching English to the three girls in my host family every day. I absolutely loved working with them and really want to continue working with kids after this experience.

In times when a child is upset or endangering themselves or another, my responses are influenced by the practices of positive discipline and approaching these situations with a calm, understanding and conscious presence.
In my personal life, I am studying herbalism and other modalities of holistic healing. I am passionate about individual and community empowerment surrounding health and the body.
