The most important part about being a nanny...
Being able to provide a safe environment for a child! Also giving the family a sense that their child will be well cared for and safe in my hands.
My experience with special needs children...
Unfortunately, I do not have that much experience working with special needs children.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The last family that I worked with had a three year-old little girl. One day, we made a rainbow grilled cheese together. Have you ever made that before?
You take white cheddar cheese and place them in three different bowls.
Then you take some food dye and mix the cheese and dye together.
Then you place the funky colored different cheese on some bread and put the sandwich in a pan and melt the cheese so it’s all gooey.
We did a cheese pull with the grilled cheese and it was phenomenal. We made the video together and her face lit up. That was something that I’ll never forget!

Part-Time Nanny Available in Washington, DC: Breanna C.
Hi, I’m Breanna! I have over nine years of experience as a professional nanny and am also a certified postpartum doula. Caring for children has always been more than just a career for me, it’s something I’m truly passionate about. Before becoming a full-time nanny, I worked as an infant and toddler teacher, which helped shape my understanding of early childhood development and the importance of creating a loving, supportive environment where children can thrive.
I believe every child deserves to feel safe, valued, and encouraged to be themselves. My approach to childcare is rooted in patience, kindness, consistency, and plenty of fun. Whether we’re reading stories, exploring outdoors, creating art, enjoying sensory play, or celebrating everyday milestones, I love finding meaningful ways to help children learn and grow while making lasting memories.
