The most important part about being a nanny...
Kids are always consistently learning from their surroundings. They pick up words, actions and are great observers. I think its important as a nanny to continue to be not just a friend and caregiver but also a role model. Being a mentor and example to them is the most important part.
My experience with special needs children...
As an FSY counseler you have to work with all different types of kids!! I had several weeks where i dealt with kids who had autism and it was a great learning experience for me. I developed great love and patience for them and i came to actually become great friends with them.
