The most important part about being a nanny...
Helping the child feel heard and seen. Most children get upset because they aren’t feeling heard. It is important to me that your child can tell me things and I interact with them. Not just listen, but engage in what they are saying.
It’s important to me that your child feels safe to communicate with me. It’s important to me that your child can be left alone with me, and trust that he/she is in safe hands.

My experience with special needs children...
I had one little girl in my class who had special needs. Nothing I couldn’t handle though. I helped her through stuff just fine.
I also have a little cousin who is autistic. He’s my favorite! Ahaha!

The most important part about being a nanny...
I’ve never been a nanny before. But it is something I’ve always wanted to get into.
But if I had to choose one of my favorite moments when taking care of a child. It would be when I helped one of my little cousins calm down after a tantrum. Since then, he has treated me with respect. And he is the sweetest to me now.
