More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I started in childcare babysitting and mothers helping for family friends as a young teenager and my desire to work with children was solidified henceforth. My major in college started out as Child Psychology with a Pre-Medical concentration. I soon realized after working in a clinical setting, that I wanted to be more on the patient care and relationship side of things and decided to double major in Child Psychology and Nursing. I graduated with both degrees and started working as a in-home nurse, a perfectly tailored job for my desire to form a relationship with my patients. I loved it, and through word of mouth, began nannying for children without medical needs. Since then, I have nannied both live in and live out, part time and full time for a variety of wonderful families. Each of my kiddos has become very special to me, and as my time has ended with each of them, I have made sure to stay in touch and remain a part of their lives.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love taking kids to the park, or exploring the playground in your own backyard! The aquarium, beach, mini golf, and the children’s museum have been some of my kiddos’ favorites! Even at the house, I love hosting crafts, cooking lessons, games, and movie nights/rainy days!

The most important part about being a nanny...

building a relationship of trust with your family so that you never worry about your kiddos when they’re with me. and of course, watching your babies grow up! watching the ideals and values we thrive so hard to teach them click. watching them go from needing help getting dressed, brushing teeth, reading to slowly needing you less and less.

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked with a variety of special needs children, including those with sight or hearing deficits, mobility challenges, speech or communication barriers, and cognitive development delays. I also have extensive experience with medically needy children, as my education background is in nursing *not active license, just BSN*
