A little bit about me

Hello families!
I have been babysitting and watching kids for years, so i have tons of references, i have a daughter of my own, and I also have cpr training!
I started off with just watching my siblings to then watching our close friend's kids too. As well as having experience in elderly caregiving. I have always enjoyed being around kids and not only teaching them, but learning from them too. I love the outdoors and I'm a very good cook. I love cleaning and am very organized. The only downside is that I don't drive. I babysit from my own home which I would be more than willing to show if considered. We have an extra bedroom and would be willing to use it if naps or overnight care is needed.

A little bit about me

I am a newly divorced 56-year old female who was married to a retired military veteran of 30+ years. While I was unable to have children of my own, I was a Stepmother to 3 children who are all now very responsible, honest and successful individuals and I take pride that I was partly responsible for having that impact in their lives since they were young children and who have children of the own now. I am a very patient, caring person who has experience in acting as the caretaker of my former military 100% disabled spouse, and my mother was a Nurse her entire career.
I am the youngest of 5 children & also came from a large military family as well. My father was in the U.S. Navy for 25+ years before becoming the Dispersement Officer of the 32nd St. Naval Base located in San Diego, CA as a civilian upon his retirement from the Navy and held that position until retiring in the 90’s.
I feel that I would be a good fit with the right family.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

A little bit about me

Hi my name is Izzi Ekholm, I am 21 years old and I am looking for a part time or full time nanny position with a kind family. I just recently got married and my goal has always been to be a mother and I believe being a nanny can help me become ready for the daunting task of being a parent. I have worked with children almost my entire life, I babysat for family friends and people I met from my parents. This last year I got fully trained and licensed to work in a daycare so I can handle several children at a time. I have my first aid and CPR license. I was also a competitive swimmer for ten years so I can teach your kids how to swim as part of my job if you would like. I am willing to do house work and meal prep if needed. I am a licensed driver with a great record. I can get your kids to and from activities and appointments as needed

A little bit about me

Hi my name is Julie! I moved to the Spokane area about a little over a year ago. I'm looking to find my next opportunity to work in childcare! I have a genuine love for working with children. I was a Montessori Preschool Teacher for about 3-4 years and I absolutely adored my job! Sadly I had to leave due to moving to a different state.
I believe in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. I'm reliable, organized, and patient, and I always strive to support each child's development through age-appropriate activities, play, and learning. I'm also comfortable with household tasks like meal prep, light cleaning, and bedtime routines if needed.
I am committed to providing families with piece of mind, knowing their children are in safe and loving hands.
Thank you for taking the time to read through my profile and I hope we connect soon!

How to Find a Babysitter in Post Falls, ID

Nanny Lane is a child care website meant to help you find a babysitter in your area. Our child care services include background checks, PLUS, and payroll.

Understand Babysitter Responsibilities in Post Falls, ID

Before beginning the search for a babysitter, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a babysitter is the right choice for your child care needs. There are lots of benefits to hiring a babysitter such as getting the flexibility of having some more time for yourself or with your partner. When hiring a babysitter, first, you should explore the differences between a nanny and a babysitter. If you’re looking for occasional child care, babysitters are the right choice for you, but if you’re looking for more frequent care, a nanny may be better for your needs.

From there, you can think about what you expect your babysitter to handle so that you can create a profile for nannies to reach out to you. The boundaries for babysitters’ duties can vary from family to family. However, in general, a babysitter is responsible for making sure your kids’ needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example to housekeeping, laundry, or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your babysitter before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location in Post Falls can impact how much you pay your babysitter.

Post Falls Babysitter Interviews

Once you start connecting with prospective babysitters, the next step is to conduct an interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some babysitter interview questions to consider asking:

  • Do you have experience being a babysitter?
  • What sort of household tasks are you open and comfortable doing?
  • Do you have any references?
  • Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in Idaho?
  • Do you have a Idaho driver’s license? Do you own a car?
  • How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?

During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a babysitter that you’re considering hiring, make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your babysitter. You can do this by being clear about your expectations around babysitter responsibilities and compensation, and of course, by being friendly and welcoming!

And of course, as you learn how to hire a babysitter, Nanny Lane's nanny services are here to help you along the way.
