A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Maddy and I’ve been working in childcare for about 7 years now. When I was in high school, I was part of an after school program, where we went to the local elementary school and helped the children who may have been behind their classes overall reading level, practice reading. I’ve been working at the same summer camp for the last 7 years. We work with children from 3rd to 10th grade who all come from a large variety of different backgrounds. I ran our science and nature program for two years, our creative arts program for one, and I’m now working with the oldest group of children to teach them how to become a staff member. I’m a little shy at first but, I love being creative, learning, and I do love a good “to-do list”!

"Jayne is by the best nanny out there. She is very knowledgeable and patient. When we first hired Jayne it was to care for our severely neglected and troubled three year old foster son. At the time he had a diagnosis of Autism as well and did not know how to talk. We were new to the “parent” roll, just learning as we went. Jayne was very patient with him and us. She taught us different ways to manage his behaviors and bring him out of tantrums (that could last over an hour at times). The first time we hired her she did a lot for our foster son, she worked with him on various therapy regimens (occupational and speech). They worked on flash cards, preschool work books and went on walks. She cooked him lunch most days (she is a fantastic cook!). I do not know what we would have done if we wouldn’t have found her! She is definitely a blessing! We would have kept her on longer, but a spot opened for him at a behavioral therapy facility where he would attend instead of attending a day care."

A little bit about me

I have a very warm and energetic personality. I am easy to talk to no matter what the situation is. My goal is to create a safe and stimulating environment for your child. Some activities could include indoor and outdoor play, arts and crafts, educational games if wanted and carpooling to different places for time outside of the home if allowed! I am willing to help with chores around the house including light pick up, laundry, meal prep, pets, etc. I have been babysitting for little over 5 years now and recently started nannying within the last couple months for a newborn. I have experience working with newborns, toddlers, elementary and middle school age. I have a 5-year-old brother which has allowed me to learn and experience first hand how to take care of a newborn-toddler stage along with teaching me the best ways to interact with a child. I also spent 2 summers volunteering at the Boys and Girls club participating in a counselor training program.

A little bit about me

Hi there! I’ve always wanted to work with kids, and you can see through my schooling and experience, that’s what I’ve done. From kiddos 0 to 18, I’ve worked with all ages and abilities- in camps, after school programs, daycare, preschool, K-12 schools, and even have been a referee for rec team sports (yikes, that’s a tough job)! My goal is to make everyone feel seen and heard, and to use what I’ve learned in my life to better support you and your family. I also have a family of my own that I love to care for! My favorite things to do are sing, exercise, go for walks, dance, bake, and read! Can’t wait to help your family to the best of my abilities!
