A little bit about me
I’ve been caring for children most of my life as the oldest of eight siblings, so I’m very comfortable with kids of all ages. I also have professional experience as a nanny, along with three summers as a cabin counselor at a sleepaway camp, where I supported children with a wide range of needs.
I’m patient, reliable, and genuinely enjoy creating a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for the children I care for. I would love the opportunity to be a positive and supportive presence in your home.

A little bit about me
My name is Amaya or Maya if you care to drop the vowel. I started looking after little ones when I was a little one myself; at the ripe age of 10, I began caring for my younger cousins and family friends for date nights and late-night shifts. Before then I had been swimming competitively and really loved the molecules I was immersed in, I decided I want to pass that love of mine onto everyone so I started swim lessons via my backyard pool. A few years later I legitimized my services and became a certified lifeguard. I went on to lifeguard and teach swim lessons in numerous settings around the Bay Area. I am as nurturing as it gets and I love to explore nature. Working with kids has always been my favorite, I live for their excitement and to see their bewilderment at the world in front of us, It is so beautiful to watch the future grow and learn right in the splash zone. With all that said, I would love to get to know you all and be a helpful addition to your family's team!
