I began my journey into child care in 2016, when I got a lead teacher position in a Pre-K room.

Over the course of that time I babysat in between.
When the pandemic began I was a nanny for a family of three children.
Now, I work in a classroom with special needs students.
I am looking for part time work for this summer as the school year ends.
I believe in structure and intentional teaching moments.
I’ll lead by example with kindness.
I think you’ll enjoy working with me, and I’m truly looking forward to working in someone’s home again and loving their children.

A little bit about me
I believe that the most useful way to help young children develop is to continuously communicate with the child. You should describe every activity that you are doing with the child. This helps the child understand what is happening and improves their vocabulary.
I love outdoor activities, parks, playgrounds, ride bikes, swim etc.
Many may view the role of Nanny as a side job or a way to support one's self through college, but there are a whole bunch of us who are passionate about caring, educating and loving our clients' children.
My favorite part about being a Nanny is to keep in touch with the kids I used to babysit and remembering all the fun times we had together, some of them are now in college !!!
Thank you for your consideration and I hope to hear from you soon.

Understand Nanny Responsibilities in Mount Olive, NJ
Before beginning the search for a nanny, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a nanny is the right choice for your child care needs. In hiring a nanny, first, you should think through what responsibilities you expect your nanny to handle. With that information, you can create a profile so that nannies can reach out to you. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. In general, a nanny is responsible for making sure your children’s needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example, housekeeping or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your nanny before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location can impact how much you should pay your nanny.
Mount Olive Nanny Interviews
Once you start connecting with prospective nannies, the next step is a nanny interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some nanny interview questions to consider asking:
- Do you have experience being a nanny?
- How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?
- What sort of household tasks are you open to doing?
- Are you open to a live in arrangement in Mount Olive? Do you have experience being a live in nanny?
- Are you open to being a nanny in a nanny share?
- Do you have any references?
- Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in Mount Olive?
- Do you have a driver’s license in NJ? Do you own a car?
- What salary are you seeking? Are you open to being paid through direct-deposit, pay stubs?
- What are your expectations around over-time pay and vacation time?
During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references, and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a prospective nanny, it’s essential to make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your nanny. You can do this by being clear about your expectations around nanny responsibilities and compensation, and of course, by being friendly and welcoming! And of course, as you learn how to hire a nanny, Nanny Lane's nanny services are here to help you along the way.
Daycare vs. Hiring a Nanny
Choosing between putting your child in daycare and hiring a nanny can be a tough decision. While nannies are often more expensive, they provide individualized attention and flexibility. Daycares, on the other hand, prioritize socialization. Our Nanny vs Daycare guide can help you determine what's best for your family.
