A little bit about me

I'm a BYU student looking for part-time babysitting and/or nannying opportunities for the summer of 2021. I adore children and have worked with them extensively. Other than consistently babysitting for multiple families with children (as well as fur babies!) of various ages and genders since a young age, I worked at a daycare for a year in 2019. During my time at the daycare I typically cared for children ages 6 weeks to 18 months, although I commonly also worked with children up to the age of ten.
I can cook, clean, and help with homework being an avid student myself. I love to plan activities (at home or otherwise) and getting outdoors is always a priority. Moreover, I am trained in baby sign language and would love to help your littles learn to communicate with those around them from a young age.
Additionally, I am CPR certified and have been trained in first aid.

Hey! I’m Cami I’m 18 and love kids so much! I’m the oldest of 4 and have lots of little cousins. I’ve been babysitting since I was 12 and have fallen in love with it. I love studying child development and have taken HDFS 1500 as well as other early childhood education classes. I’m currently at BYU studying Human Development. I think it’s so fun and important to do crafts and play outside and would love the opportunity to care for your kiddos and be their friend!

A little bit about me

My name is Chanel Royce, and I would love the opportunity to support your family as a nanny. I’m EMT certified, the oldest of four siblings, and I’ve been working in childcare since I was 15 years old. Now at 19, caregiving comes naturally to me, it’s something I’ve grown up with and built real experience in. I am smoke-free, and I have my own reliable transportation. I’m fully comfortable driving children to school, activities, appointments, or anywhere they need to be.
I currently work as a Behavior Technician in ABA therapy, helping children build communication, social, and daily living skills.
Before working in ABA, I was a nanny for a wonderful family with amazing kids. That experience taught me how to create a warm, safe environment, keep children engaged, and maintain open communication with parents. It also gave me hands on practice managing daily routines, helping with meals, handling light cleaning, and supporting kids through all kinds of activities and milestones.

A little bit about me

I’m 21 and have been babysitting for about 12 years now. I took a short break to focus on graduating. I don’t have my license yet, but I also don’t mind walking however far it may be. I’m good with time and I’m very flexible with schedules (I’m willing to stay longer if need be). I’m great with kids of all ages and I’m a fun, responsible, and very clean person. I’m not certified in anything, however, I do know how to do cpr and I am Interested in getting certified. There’s nothing that I love more than to see the children who I babysit, smile and laugh. I will play games and watch movies/shows with them. If there’s a sleep schedule for them, I will attend to that as well. I’m also great with pets. Thank you! :)

Understand Nanny Responsibilities in Provo, UT

Before beginning the search for a nanny, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a nanny is the right choice for your child care needs. In hiring a nanny, first, you should think through what responsibilities you expect your nanny to handle. With that information, you can create a profile so that nannies can reach out to you. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. In general, a nanny is responsible for making sure your children’s needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example, housekeeping or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your nanny before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location can impact how much you should pay your nanny.

Provo Nanny Interviews

Once you start connecting with prospective nannies, the next step is a nanny interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some nanny interview questions to consider asking:

  • Do you have experience being a nanny?
  • How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?
  • What sort of household tasks are you open to doing?
  • Are you open to a live in arrangement in Provo? Do you have experience being a live in nanny?
  • Are you open to being a nanny in a nanny share?
  • Do you have any references?
  • Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in Provo?
  • Do you have a driver’s license in UT? Do you own a car?
  • What salary are you seeking? Are you open to being paid through direct-deposit, pay stubs?
  • What are your expectations around over-time pay and vacation time?

During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references, and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a prospective nanny, it’s essential to make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your nanny. You can do this by being clear about your expectations around nanny responsibilities and compensation, and of course, by being friendly and welcoming! And of course, as you learn how to hire a nanny, Nanny Lane's nanny services are here to help

Daycare vs. Hiring a Nanny

Choosing between putting your child in daycare and hiring a nanny can be a tough decision. While nannies are often more expensive, they provide individualized attention and flexibility. Daycares, on the other hand, prioritize socialization. Our Nanny vs Daycare guide can help you determine what's best for your family.
