A little bit about me

Hello!
My name is Sofi, I am Colombian, I’m 23 years old. I was an Au Pair (cultural exchange where you live with the family and take care of the children) for a year with the same family. I took care of 4 little ones; 1 year and a half, 6 years, 9 years and 11 years. In my country I studied music with two emphasis so I taught them all to sing and play the piano. I spoke to the youngest in Spanish from the beginning and now that he is 2 and a half years old he speaks and understands it very well.

I learned different things from each one, we have an excellent relationship and we are still in communication.

After my time like Au Pair I was nanny here for 5 months of a little girl (1 year and half) but then she started daycare, so they didn’t need me anymore.

I will be very happy to take care of your little one to have fun 🥰.

Update: I’m currently babysitting 2 beautiful girls M-W, so I’m looking to fill TH- F. If you have any questions, just let me know😊

A little bit about me

I am a 17 year old girl who knew from a very young age what her vocation was, which is to care for children and help families in need.

I have a 9 year old little brother who I adore, and have been babysitting since he was 5.

I love Disney classics, chocolate chip cookies, singing, and making sure that my loved ones are always safe and happy.

Caring for little ones is the kind of job that I know will enjoy and work hard for, no matter the circumstances.

Understand Nanny Responsibilities in West Jordan, UT

Before beginning the search for a nanny, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a nanny is the right choice for your child care needs. In hiring a nanny, first, you should think through what responsibilities you expect your nanny to handle. With that information, you can create a profile so that nannies can reach out to you. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. In general, a nanny is responsible for making sure your children’s needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example, housekeeping or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your nanny before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location can impact how much you should pay your nanny.

West Jordan Nanny Interviews

Once you start connecting with prospective nannies, the next step is a nanny interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some nanny interview questions to consider asking:

  • Do you have experience being a nanny?
  • How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?
  • What sort of household tasks are you open to doing?
  • Are you open to a live in arrangement in West Jordan? Do you have experience being a live in nanny?
  • Are you open to being a nanny in a nanny share?
  • Do you have any references?
  • Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in West Jordan?
  • Do you have a driver’s license in UT? Do you own a car?
  • What salary are you seeking? Are you open to being paid through direct-deposit, pay stubs?
  • What are your expectations around over-time pay and vacation time?

During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references, and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a prospective nanny, it’s essential to make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your nanny. You can do this by being clear about your expectations around nanny responsibilities and compensation, and of course, by being friendly and welcoming! And of course, as you learn how to hire a nanny, Nanny Lane's nanny services are here to help

Daycare vs. Hiring a Nanny
