Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Reading books together, imaginary play, crafting, building block towers that will ultimately be knocked down :), outdoor activities. I love taking children to the playground and adding in bubbles and sidewalk chalk. One of my favorite activities is taking a packed lunch to a park or playground in the summer.

I'm a mother to two older children with special needs. I've also assisted with special needs children in a Sunday School setting.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My current family's two year-old loves to read "Going on a Bear Hunt". One day we decided to have our own bear hunt and re-enact the steps in the book. She wanted to be the bear at the end of the book and enjoyed chasing me around the backyard. Imaginary play is probably my favorite aspect of this job.
