I’ve grown up in my church’s childcare system and as I got older started helping out the teachers. From there parents would ask me to babysit which I did a lot in high school. After high school I had a job working as an after school teacher/ yard duty for 6 months before I moved and I absolutely loved it.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I try to do mostly outdoor activities when I can. Playing tag with them, lava monster, red light green light, duck duck goose, anything to keep them entertained and to get out their energy. I also love coming up with crafts or activities when we aren’t able to go outside.

My experience with special needs children...
I don’t have a ton of experience with special needs kids but in high school one of the main families I babysat for had a child who has high functioning autism and taught me to be very patient and sensitive with my words around him.

One time when I was working at the school, I was playing lava monsters with the kids on the playground and one little girl (5yo) was laughing so hard and stopped and looked to me in horror and said “Miss Morgan I peed my pants.” and later on told her teacher “Miss Morgan made me laugh so hard! I couldn’t hold it!” She got so embarrassed but it was the cutest thing.
