A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Kayla and I am 19 years old turning 20 in June. I graduated from Walkersville High School in the spring and am currently a student enrolled at Frederick Community College. I have been a certified babysitter for almost 6 years and have experience with multiple ages ranging from newborn to 10 years old. I often assisted my neighbor with her at home day care during my senior year of high school as well, so I also have experience supervising multiple children at once. I enjoy spending time outdoors, writing, baking, as well as cooking which I would be glad to do for your littles! I am also happy to do laundry and other household chores. I personally am a very organized person and tend to keep my space neat and tidy. With that being said, when it comes to caring for children, messes are bound to happen and that is okay! I am patient and understanding and encourage creative messes that can be cleaned up after all the fun has been had! Message me for references and questions!

A little bit about me

I am a mother to 4 grown children and a grandmother of 3 wonderful grandsons. One of the boys is diagnosed low-mid level autism.

I spent 9 years working in the child watch program at the YMCA and then moved to working full-time as a preschool teacher for about 4 years. My classroom was mainly 3-4 yr olds and was structured without the children feeling locked in to a strict schedule. The only reason I stopped working in that field was due to the center I worked at closing. I tried 2 other day care centers but my standard is - if I wouldn't send my child there, I won't work there. That being the case, I decided to stop working in the daycare centers.

I plan to renew my CPR certification soon.

My personal interests include theatre... I have been in quite a few shows and am happy to say I have raised my children to also love the theatre and they continue to stay active on stage. I also sing and love to read.
