We have our first little one (Charlotte) due in late July/early August. We live in Brooklyn (hours would need to be 6:30-4:30) but I work on the West Side (hours would need to be 7:30-3:30) so we are flexible around sharing with families in either area! We have a small but baby-proof apartment with two cats and rabbits. I am a literacy specialist and my husband is a second-year medical resident; we moved to NYC only a year ago for his residency. We are totally open to partnering with same-sex families, multilingual families, and pet-friendly families!

My needs at present are variable--likely 5 hours, mostly Tu/Wed/Th--but may well expand (hours or days) within the next 6mos. I work from home most days, so it’s more about keeping baby soothed & cared for when I have video conference calls or just need to get work done. Responsibilities early on will therefore be straight forward and focused on the baby. Some light assistance with dishes likely as well.
