Zane loves playing with trucks, cars, dirt, magnet tiles, and jumping trampoline. Reading books together. He loves imaginative play as well. He dislikes it when he isn’t given a heads up if something is going to change. He appreciates having the option to do it himself before an adult helps him follow through on the task.
He likes to hold his “mommy bunny” toy for nap time and likes it when someone sits with him till he falls asleep.
Hours: 14hrs/wk
• Days : Tuesday and Thursday.
• Weekly hours: 14 hours total (one 10hr day and one 4hr day).
• The exact day-to-day breakdown rotates. I receive my schedule in 6wk blocks, which will lock in which day is 10hrs and which is 4hrs for that period.
For example :
Tuesday: 08:00am -12:00pm
Thursday: 8:00am- 6:00pm
Or
Tuesday: 7:30am - 5:30pm
Thursday: 08:00am - 12:00pm
Why choose us:
* No Screen Battles: Because Zane doesn't expect screen time, days are filled with smooth, creative play and reading instead of constant power struggles over iPads.
* Built-In Emotional Tools: We focus on deep breathing, pauses, and hugs means Zane is learning to manage big feelings, making behavioral challenges much easier to navigate.
* Predictable, Fair Discipline: Our discipline style relies on a quick 30-second reset—either taking a toy away or having him sit still, voicing the expectation, and immediately letting him try again. This fast, clear consequence keeps learning positive and stress-free.
* Respect for Boundaries: Our parental consistency teaches him that "yes means yes" and "no means no." This predictability means he won't feel the need to constantly test a nanny's limits.
* Outstanding Parent communication: We strive to set up our nanny for success by being kind and clear in our communication and being open to hearing how we can help. We appreciate honesty very much!

We can be flexible with the days and times, but ideally it would be M-W 10am - 3pm and Th-Fr 9am - 1am.
We have three dogs and two cats, but we would not expect you to care for them. As far as house work, it would just be simple such as picking up after yourself and Griffin.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Vancouver, WA
If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.
What is an Infant Nanny in Vancouver, WA
An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.
Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position
Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:
- What is your specific experience with this age group?
- Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Vancouver, WA? Are you willing to be trained?
- How do you handle a crying baby?
- How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
- What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
- How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
- What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?
You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
