A little bit about me

Hi, I'm Robin. Most children I have been a nanny for have always called me RaRa. I love the experience of watching a child grow and learn, and figure things out. I was a nanny for 4yrs in my 20's then got an office job. Then I went back to being a Nanny for my sister-in-law, she had twins. Then went on to Nannying two sweet boys, one was on the spectrum, a bit rough around the edges, but as sweet as could be. Then I was a Nanny for my niece from the day she was born, until she was 7 and her and my sister moved to San Diego. It was heartbreaking. My sister traveled most of the time, so I've been homeroom mom, a cheer mom, and many other positions. Kids are like sponges and I love to take advantage of that. I would teach mathematics and science. My niece is really advanced and knew her timetables up to 4 by the age of 3. She also knew all the planets and so much about them. I would love to leave the hustle of customer service and tech support to help you take amazing care of your child!

What Is a Nanny for Twins?

A nanny for twins has experience caring for twins, triplets, or other multiples. Looking after two or more children of the same age is different from caring for siblings of different ages, because feedings, naps, and routines all happen at once. Nannies with this experience know how to organize the day around more than one baby or toddler.

Common Responsibilities of Nannies for Twins in Lighthouse Point, FL

Duties include the usual childcare tasks, done for more than one child at once: feeding, diaper changes, naps, play, and outings. A nanny experienced with multiples often builds shared routines for feeding and sleep, manages a double stroller and more than one car seat, and still gives each child individual attention.

What to Consider Before You Hire

Think about how many hands you need. Some families with newborn twins want extra coverage at busy times of day. Ask about the ages of the multiples the nanny has cared for, and whether they have worked alone with them. Pay may be higher for more than one child, so discuss rates at the start.

Nanny for Twins Interview Questions

Once you find a promising candidate, invite them for an interview to see if they would be a great fit for your family. Here are some questions you can ask:

  • Have you cared for twins or other multiples, and at what ages?
  • How do you manage feeding and nap schedules for more than one baby?
  • How do you give each child individual attention?
  • Are you comfortable going on outings alone with more than one child?
  • Are you trained in First Aid or CPR?

At this stage, request their references and ask their references some questions. After preparing the job offer or contract, we recommend that you run a background check before the start date.
