A little bit about me

I’m a 52 yr old mother of three well rounded happy boys ages 28, 22 and 14..I’m a retired school bus driver of19 years, I was a volunteer for the Powhatan emergency squad, I have worked with children all my life from being a nanny, daycare teacher, to running my own licensed in home daycare. I have a few classes in early childhood development as well as some classes in the medical field. I’m cpr and first aide certified as well. I’m a family oriented person whose hobbies include spending as much time with my kids, mom, and extended family. We enjoy swimming, going to kings dominion, having game nights or just hanging out and having dinner and lots of laughs. I have a great sense of humor, I’m a hard worker, and I am a people pleaser. I pride myself on being on time if not a few minutes early as well as being dependable/reliable. I’m looking to return to being a long term full time nanny for the right family!

A little bit about me

I am a mother of 4. ( 16 yr old girl, 13 yr old girl, 11 yr old boy and a 9 yr old boy). I live in Powhatan and am looking for a part time job. My youngest is all virtual so I would have to bring him with me. But he is very well mannered and respectful. I have watched children off and on since I was 17 yrs old. I enjoy children very well. My last job I cared for twins. I fed, bathed, made bottles, wash dishes, did laundry and prepared the twins meals for dinner before I left.

What Is a Nanny for Twins?

A nanny for twins has experience caring for twins, triplets, or other multiples. Looking after two or more children of the same age is different from caring for siblings of different ages, because feedings, naps, and routines all happen at once. Nannies with this experience know how to organize the day around more than one baby or toddler.

Common Responsibilities of Nannies for Twins in Powhatan, VA

Duties include the usual childcare tasks, done for more than one child at once: feeding, diaper changes, naps, play, and outings. A nanny experienced with multiples often builds shared routines for feeding and sleep, manages a double stroller and more than one car seat, and still gives each child individual attention.

What to Consider Before You Hire

Think about how many hands you need. Some families with newborn twins want extra coverage at busy times of day. Ask about the ages of the multiples the nanny has cared for, and whether they have worked alone with them. Pay may be higher for more than one child, so discuss rates at the start.

Nanny for Twins Interview Questions

Once you find a promising candidate, invite them for an interview to see if they would be a great fit for your family. Here are some questions you can ask:

  • Have you cared for twins or other multiples, and at what ages?
  • How do you manage feeding and nap schedules for more than one baby?
  • How do you give each child individual attention?
  • Are you comfortable going on outings alone with more than one child?
  • Are you trained in First Aid or CPR?

At this stage, request their references and ask their references some questions. After preparing the job offer or contract, we recommend that you run a background check before the start date.
