A little bit about me
I am a 21 year old who enjoys working with kids and seeing their development. I am a student working for a masters in athletic training looking for a full time summer position that could possibly have flexible hours in the fall. I worked at a daycare center throughout high-school and into undergraduate college, working with all ages from infant to preschool. Also had the opportunity to fill in a lead teacher for a toddler room. I also have a history working with kids in church programs, gymnastics coaching, and family/friend babysitting.

A little bit about me
I am from Evansville Indiana, I am currently in school to get my Occupational Therapy Degree. I plan on living with my aunt in Minnesota this summer for a change in scenery. I love working with children and have done it for as long as I can remember. I currently babysit a 6 month old boy on the regular and occasionally I babysit for other families of all age ranges. I have always enjoyed being around kids, so I think nannying would be the perfect summer job for me. I am CPR, and First Aid trained, and I have my CNA license. I will be in Rochester for the months on June, July, and August!

A little bit about me
I am a 23 year old recent WSU grad and looking for a summer job. My degree is in Music Education and am very excited for a career in education and music. Other than my student teaching my favorite job ever was working at the daycare on campus (infant through preschool) and find myself chasing the feeling that job gave me. I love music obviously (primarily voice but also piano and guitar) I love to be outside, biking, reading, baking, and doing crafty things. I care deeply about providing youth with opportunities to expand their life skills and empathy. My mentor teacher often told others she would put her own children in my class, and trusted they would learn something about music and about life.

How to Hire a Summer Nanny in Rochester, MN
Nanny Lane helps you find a summer nanny in Rochester, MN to take care of your children while school is out.
We offer nanny services including background checks, Agency, and nanny payroll. Start by posting a profile with a job description, and soon you can start connecting with nannies who fit your family.
What Is a Summer Nanny?
A summer nanny is a nanny who works during the school break, for the full summer or for part of it. Summer nannies are often teachers, college students, or experienced nannies who prefer seasonal work, so families can find help when school-age children are home during the day.
Common Responsibilities of Summer Nannies in Rochester, MN
Summer days are less structured than the school year. A summer nanny plans activities such as park visits, swimming, crafts, and day trips, prepares meals and snacks, and may take children to camps or classes. For younger children, they keep up the usual nap and mealtime routines.
What to Consider Before You Hire
Start your search early, since good summer nannies are booked quickly. Decide your start and end dates, your weekly hours, and whether you need flexibility around camps, vacations, or travel. Be clear about transportation, and about whether you need the nanny to drive. If your dates might change, say so up front.
Summer Nanny Interview Questions
Once you find a promising candidate, invite them for an interview to see if they would be a great fit for your family. Here are some questions you can ask:
- Which dates are you available this summer?
- Are you able to adjust if our dates or hours change?
- What activities would you plan for the children during the day?
- Are you comfortable driving, including to camps and activities?
- Do you have experience with children of our children's ages?
At this stage, request their references and ask their references some questions. After preparing the job offer or contract, we recommend that you run a background check before the start date.
