A little bit about me
I come from a big family and have been around kiddos for most of my life.
I was a baby sitter, kids ministry lead/teacher, youth leader/camp counselor through most of my teen years.
I started child care professionally with a family friend in 2019.
In 2023 I become a live-in nanny/au pair in Australia for 6 months with a wonderful family. (Ages 14m, 5, 7)
Once back home, I became a nanny for 2 amazing kids. (Ages 6, 8) After 1 1/2 years I left and help care for 3 kids in Hawaii. (Ages 7m, 2, 4) it was a family tripped. Did another live-in/vacation care for one month before the family moved on.
Once home, I started with a wonderful 3 year old. Handling morning care and supervised visits. Exploring new things everyday. Still with them as of now.
I have my own car and valid license.
I am cpr and first aid certified.
Each family requires different needs. Parents need a little help sometimes.
As they say it takes a village. Hopefully I can be part of your village.

I believe in open communication with parents and am happy to provide regular updates about their child's day. I am also very comfortable enforcing household rules and helping children learn and grow.
In terms of activities, I love playing a variety of games with children, both educational and recreational. I believe that play is essential for children's development and I am always looking for new and fun ways to engage them.

How to Hire a Weekend Nanny in Santa Clarita, CA
Nanny Lane helps you find a weekend nanny in Santa Clarita, CA who fits your family's schedule. Browse profiles of nannies who are available on Saturdays or Sundays, then message the ones you like.
We offer nanny services including background checks, Agency, and nanny payroll. Start by posting a profile with a job description, and soon you can start connecting with nannies who fit your family.
What Is a Weekend Nanny?
A weekend nanny cares for your children on Saturdays, Sundays, or both. Some weekend nannies work every weekend, and others are available for the occasional weekend when you have an event, a trip, or a work commitment. Many have another job during the week, so they are often flexible about shorter shifts and one-off dates.
Common Responsibilities of Weekend Nannies in Santa Clarita, CA
Weekend care looks a lot like any other nanny job: supervising play, preparing meals and snacks, getting children to activities, and keeping to nap and bedtime routines. Because weekends are often busier and more active, you may also ask for help with outings, birthday parties, sports games, or family errands.
What to Consider Before You Hire
Be clear about the days and hours you need, whether the schedule is regular or occasional, and how much notice you can give. Rates and pay rules, including how weekend hours are paid, vary by state or province, so agree the details in writing and consider using nanny payroll to keep it simple. If you only need a few weekends a year, say so up front so nannies can plan around it.
Weekend Nanny Interview Questions
Once you find a promising candidate, invite them for an interview to see if they would be a great fit for your family. Here are some questions you can ask:
- Which weekends are you available, and how much notice do you need?
- Do you work every weekend or only occasionally?
- Are you comfortable with outings and activities, and with driving the children if needed?
- Are you trained in First Aid or CPR?
- What rate do you charge for weekend shifts?
At this stage, request their references and ask their references some questions. After preparing the job offer or contract, we recommend that you run a background check before the start date.
