Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have worked for Extend-a-care which is an afterschool program, I worked at the preschool they have where I cared for 9 3-year-olds. I worked in a nursery from the age of 14-18 where I cared for infants - 3-year-olds. I have volunteered at the Boys and Girls Club, YMCA where I was with 4-10-year-olds, and children's church where I taught 3-year-olds. I have also babysat many families from my church and town, one had 4 children with one being an infant. I currently am the toddler teacher at a preschool teaching ages 18-24 months.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
The activities I enjoy doing with children depends on the child because every child is different. I love to go outdoors with them, draw pictures with them, do homework, play with their toys (they always love to show me their favorite toy), and really anything that the child would like to do.
The most important part about being a nanny...
It is to show care for children and show love for children. The first 3 years of a child’s life will form them into the person they will become, during those years I hope to be one of the many joyful and loving experiences they have.
My experience with special needs children...
I have only worked with one special needs child, who I love very dearly! I only helped her and hung out with her for a little bit while she was between nannies.
