More About Me

Court Appointed Special Advocate, Montgomery County TX, Foster Mentor, Maricopa County, City of Scottsdale: Volunteer Fire Safety Presenter in elementary schools, Car Seat Safety Presenter
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I will not be on my phone while I’m watching your kids (except to send updates/photos)! It’s important to me to know parent’s expectations and the interests of the children and plan accordingly. I love taking walks, playing outside, arts and crafts, reading, and imaginative play.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Children see the world through fresh eyes. Watching them experience things for the first time and helping them find joy never gets old.
My experience with special needs children...
My now 12 year old granddaughter was born at 23.5 weeks, so taking care of her once she came home involved a lot of specialized care. As an infant through toddler, she was on oxygen 24/7 as well as a feeding port. There were also learning, communication and development challenges that began in infancy and continue to this day.
The most important part about being a nanny...
When it had been a year since I’d babysat and the kids not only remembered me but asked their mom to have me back because we’d had so much fun!

I’ve been working with kids since I was kid. I know it sounds a little silly but I’ve always enjoyed it (yes even as a kid). I became an assistant at church by the age of 9! And became a church teacher by the age of 14.
I became a kids coach for jiujitsu and catch wrestling at the age of 24 & still loving it now at age 32.
I’ve baby sat my friends and family’s children’s/babies thru out the years, I’ve always enjoyed being able to be part of a child’s care knowing I’m helping our future adults. 😇

Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in Phoenix, AZ: Maya E.
Hi! My name is Maya, and I’m in my final year of my Psychology degree at Grand Canyon University. I’ve been working with children for over five years through church nurseries, children’s ministries, babysitting, and nannying. I’ve cared for kids of all ages, including children on the autism spectrum, and love creating an environment where every child feels safe, encouraged, and valued.
I’m CPR and First Aid trained, reliable, and naturally organized, but I also bring a lot of creativity and joy into my work. Whether it’s helping with homework, planning fun activities, or simply being a positive role model, I’m passionate about supporting both children and families in meaningful ways. I also don’t mind helping out with household tasks like cooking, cleaning, or laundry. My goal is always to make life a little easier and brighter for the families I work with.
