A little bit about me

I have recently moved from CA to AZ, where I ran an in-home daycare. I was full and had 6 kids daily between ages 6mo-5years. I've been providing child care for more than 18 years as a f/t nanny, camp leader, child care center assistant. I have cared for children of all ages and abilities, and worked with up to 13 children at a time.
My experience includes working with children who have special needs such as autism, bi-polar disorder, ADD/ADHD and dietary restrictions.
Working as a nanny is amazing because I develop strong bonds with the children and their families. A typical day involves getting them up, preparing them for their day, keeping them active and on schedule, cooking their meals, potty training, teaching them about safety, and acting as a positive role model addressing their emotional needs while parents are away.
I especially love caring for newborns and toddlers because it is such a major time of growth in their lives!

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been a full time nanny for over 10 years, and I also ran an in home daycare for 3 years. Additionally I have worked at child care centers, summer camps, and occasional babysitting jobs.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to get kids outdoors! Parks, museums, play places, zoos etc. At home I love to read, play music and dance, and cook with kids!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I take my job extremely seriously! Together we are a team raising a tiny human. My goal is to make sure they are the best human they can be.

I have cared for a few children with down syndrome. I also have experience with kids on the autism spectrum.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Hard to pick one... But I just love the little things like when they are having a snack but want to hold your hand. Something I take a lot of pride in is getting kids to start speaking fairly young. Always so rewarding to be able to communicate with the little ones.
