More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I’ve cared for children in a variety of roles over the years. I taught dance to kids of all ages for 12 years, creating a fun and structured space that encouraged both creativity and discipline. I also spent 3 years as an elementary school teacher, supporting students academically and emotionally in the classroom.
Alongside these roles, I nannied off and on, providing personalized care that included helping with daily routines, engaging activities, and homework support. I also had the opportunity to assist with homeschooling, tailoring lessons to meet each child’s individual learning style and helping families maintain consistency and progress in their education at home. These experiences have given me a well-rounded understanding of child development and the flexibility to meet kids’ unique needs.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love engaging children in activities that are both fun and enriching. I especially enjoy anything creative—like dancing, arts and crafts, storytelling, and imaginative play. I also enjoy outdoor time, whether it's going for nature walks, playing at the park, or just getting some fresh air and movement. When appropriate, I like incorporating learning into our time together, such as reading books, simple science or craft projects, or practicing age-appropriate academic skills in playful ways. Most of all, I enjoy connecting with kids on their level and encouraging their curiosity, confidence, and joy.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is building a trusting, supportive relationship with both the child and their family. Children thrive when they feel safe, seen, and understood — and as a nanny, I aim to create that kind of environment every day. It’s not just about routines or activities, but about showing up with patience, consistency, and care. Being a positive presence in a child’s life, helping them grow with confidence, and supporting the family’s unique rhythm and values is what makes this work so meaningful to me.
My experience with special needs children...
During my years as an elementary school teacher, I had the opportunity to work closely with children who had a range of special needs. I was part of inclusive classrooms and collaborated with special education staff to adapt lessons and provide individualized support. This experience taught me the importance of patience, flexibility, and meeting each child where they are. Whether it was adjusting learning strategies, using visual supports, or helping with emotional regulation, I learned how to create a supportive and respectful environment that allowed every child to thrive. This work has had a lasting impact on me, and I carry those skills and insights into all my interactions with children.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments was helping a child I cared for read their very first book all by themselves. We had been working on letter sounds and sight words for weeks, and one day it just clicked. The excitement and pride on their face was priceless — and we celebrated with a mini dance party in the living room! Since I knew Mom and Dad were busy and wouldn't want to miss such a big milestone, we recorded the moment so they could experience it too. It was such a special reminder of how meaningful it is to be part of a child’s growth and to support the whole family along the way.
