To me, the most important part of being a nanny is making sure children are safe, cared for, and having fun. I would keep parents and guardians updated while making sure their children are supervised carefully at all times. I believe being a nanny means actively engaging with children, creating a positive environment, and helping them feel comfortable, supported, and safe.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience working with special needs children through my role as a classroom assistant in both a DI (Differentiated Instruction) classroom and an ECEAP Preschool and Special Education classroom. In these roles, I supported students during classroom activities, helped maintain a positive learning environment, and assisted children with staying engaged and on task. This experience helped me develop patience, communication skills, and the ability to adapt to different children’s needs.
