More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I went on two mission trips to the Dominican Republic. While I was there I volunteered in the village of Cielo to help care for the children, watch the babies while mother's worked, and even helped with the clinic, where children were treated for infected water consumption. I used to volunteer at the day care at a center called Discovery in Orlando, where we would spend the day with disabled kids while their parents ran errands. It wasn't much of a daycare but it more of a disciplined field trip they would like to put it, where we did crafts, helped with homework and sing songs.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love doing anything outdoors, whether it's going for a walk to the park, going swimming, going for a picnic, playing games, you name it. Indoors I enjoy puzzles, drawing and painting, any arts and crafts, movies during the quieter times, puppet shows, and so much more.
My experience with special needs children...
I volunteered as a camp counselor for Shriver's Special Sports Camp. I was a member of Best Buddies all 4 years of high school and would weekly visit the kids at Morning Star School in Orlando, Florida.
