Hello! My name is Kaitlyn. I'm a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and mom to a 2.5-year-old son. I'm offering childcare in my North Olmsted home for one or two children in a safe, loving, and engaging environment. I have several years of experience working with infants, toddlers, and young children, including those with developmental differences and communication needs. Our days are filled with reading, sensory play, arts and crafts, outdoor play, music, and hands-on learning. I believe children thrive when they feel safe, supported, and encouraged to explore through play. As both a professional and a parent, I understand how important trust, communication, and consistency are. Relevant experience where I also cared for children includes working as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst providing direct care and supervision for children ages 2–18 with developmental disabilities, autism, and behavioral needs. Prior to becoming a BCBA, I worked as a Registered Behavior Technician, providing one-on-one care in home, clinic, school, and community settings. My responsibilities included ensuring children's safety, facilitating play and learning activities, assisting with daily routines, toileting, feeding, and supporting social-emotional development. In addition to my professional experience, I am also the mother of a 2-year-old, giving me daily hands-on experience caring for a young child.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love getting on the floor and playing alongside children! Some of my favorite activities include reading stories, singing songs, sensory bins, crafts, going to the park, taking walks, baking simple recipes together, building with blocks, pretend play, and spending time outside. I enjoy creating learning opportunities through play while making sure children feel safe, supported, and have fun.

The most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and consistent environment where children feel secure enough to learn, explore, and be themselves. I believe children thrive when they know they are cared for, their feelings are respected, and they have someone who is patient, engaged, and dependable. I strive to build trusting relationships with both children and parents so we can work together to support each child's growth and development.

My experience with special needs children...

I have several years of experience working with children with special needs, primarily as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and previously as a Registered Behavior Technician. I have worked with children ranging from toddlers to teenagers with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, developmental delays, communication delays, and other behavioral and learning needs. My experience includes teaching communication, social, play, adaptive, and daily living skills while supporting emotional regulation using positive, individualized strategies. I believe every child is capable of learning and thriving when they feel safe, understood, and supported, and I enjoy building strong relationships with both children and their families.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments caring for children is seeing them accomplish something they once struggled with and realizing they're proud of themselves. Whether it's hearing a child use a new word for the first time, watching them gain confidence climbing a playground structure, or seeing them laugh while trying something new, those moments are incredibly rewarding. I love building trusting relationships where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn through play.
