A little bit about me

Hi! I’m relocating to Pittsburgh and currently exploring my next professional chapter while looking for a wonderful family to support. I’ve been a teacher for the past 9 years, working with students across a wide range of ages and specializing in supporting children with learning differences. Before and during my teaching career, I also spent about 5 years nannying, so I truly value building strong, caring relationships with both children and families. I bring a calm, dependable, and engaging approach, and I love creating supportive environments where kids can learn, grow, and feel confident.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Relevant experience includes working with children in a variety of settings, including tutoring, classroom and teaching support, and assisting in structured learning environments. I’ve also supported children in small group and enrichment settings, helping with both academic and hands-on activities while encouraging confidence, curiosity, and positive social interaction. Across all of these roles, I’ve enjoyed adapting to different age groups and learning styles, meeting children where they are developmentally, and creating environments that are engaging, supportive, and balanced between learning, play, and emotional growth.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love creating fun, engaging, and meaningful experiences with children that balance creativity, learning, and play. Some of my favorite activities include arts and crafts, outdoor adventures, reading together, imaginative play, baking, sensory activities, educational games, trips to parks or museums, and helping with homework or learning support when needed. With my background in teaching and supporting students with learning differences, I also enjoy finding creative ways to build confidence, independence, and curiosity in everyday activities.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of the most important parts of being a nanny is building a strong partnership with the family to ensure the child’s needs are understood, supported, and consistently met across all environments. Just as essential is taking the time to truly get to know each child—their personality, interests, strengths, and challenges—so care can be individualized and meaningful. When communication with parents and connection with the child work together, it creates a stable, supportive foundation where the child feels safe, known, and excited to show up as their full self each day.

My experience with special needs children...

I have extensive experience supporting children with a wide range of learning differences and special needs through both my teaching and caregiving background. Over the past 9 years in education, I’ve worked closely with students with ADHD, dyslexia, executive functioning challenges, anxiety, speech/language needs, and social-emotional differences. I value creating calm, supportive, and individualized environments where children feel safe, understood, and confident. I also have experience collaborating with families, therapists, and support teams to help children thrive both academically and emotionally.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of the most rewarding parts of nannying has been staying connected with some of the children and families over the years and getting to see how much they’ve grown. Watching children gain confidence, develop their personalities, and reach new milestones long after I cared for them is incredibly meaningful to me. It’s a reminder of how important strong, supportive relationships are and how lasting a positive impact can be in a child’s life.
