A little bit about me

Growing up, I had a Nanny and understand the impact of having a positive role model .
My mother was a career nanny for celebrity families until she started her own nanny agency .I grew up hearing her coach nannies on how to deal with every situation under the sun,most importantly, the importance of understanding when to be an active part of the family and when to be invisible.
I have always been great with kids and I am currently studying early childhood development in an online course through Long Beach city College, and I’m also taking extra non-credited classes in intentional, parenting and Montessori learning.
I am free diver, I ride horses(English and western ) and dirt bikes.I’m very active and I’m not afraid to get on a child’s level and play .I also love to read, play dress up, paint and I’m an excellent chef.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a babysitter and a camp counselor all throughout junior high and high school, but that’s the basic standard amongst everyone you will find on this site. Something that sets me apart is that Given my mother’s business, My in entire life has been full of and all about children; their development, psychology, and even the history and evolution of caring for them, so much so that our family study/library was a collection of children’s books with a subsection on caring for them.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to make things,art projects of any kind, painting, dancing, cooking, and really anything that a child is interested in that supports creative thinking I will find enjoyment. Being active is also very important to me and with kids I love playing tennis, swimming, hiking, horse back riding, and exploring the world. Im not afraid or embarrassed like most adults to play make believe, dress up or get dirty outside.

Obviously computers and smartphones are a necessary part of life and i think it’s imperative to encourage its usage in a healthy and structured way, having a child forget the iPad because they’re having fun interacting with the world will always be a goal of mine.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The children, their health, emotional and physical. And then second to that is helping to raise kind, compassionate, happy humans by teaching them to relax into using what they believe are their struggles to empower themselves and others .

My experience with special needs children...

I am very open to caring for children with physical disabilities. For the Entirety of her life I have helped care for my younger cousin who was born with cerebral palsy and had a trache while she was younger. But more recently, i cared for a four year old girl who had been born with fetal alcohol syndrome that was so severe she too had used a trache and was also fed though a feeding tube. I’ve helped children navigate having ADHD As well as autism.
