The most important part about being a nanny is building trust with both the children and the parents. Children need to feel safe, understood, and cared for, while parents need to feel completely confident that their child is in responsible and loving hands. I believe it comes down to being patient, consistent, and genuinely attentive, not just watching children, but actively supporting their growth, emotions, and daily routines

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was during my daycare experience when I helped a group of children during story time. One child was very shy and didn’t want to participate at first, so I gently encouraged them by asking simple questions and letting them point to pictures instead of speaking. By the end, they felt comfortable enough to join in and even answered a question out loud in front of the group. Seeing that small moment of confidence and progress made me really happy and reminded me how rewarding it is to support children as they grow.
