A little bit about me

I am a current 4th grade teacher that is expecting my first child by the end of May. I started my teaching career working in a preschool classroom for ages 3-5.
I am the 3rd child of 7, so I’ve grown up helping and babysitting my younger siblings for my mom.
As soon as I was able to drive, I have been a babysitter or weekend nanny for different families. I have worked with many different age groups from newborns to summer nannying/tutoring for a young teenager.
I am looking for a family that wouldn’t mind me bringing my future little one with me daily for our children to interact, learn, and play together. I am looking forward to pausing my teaching career and moving down this path!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been a 4th grade teacher for 6 years now. I was a preschool teacher for 2 years working with children ages 3-5. I have nannied/babysat for many families for as long as I can remember. I use to weekly babysit for a church group with one other person. I have been a date night sitter for multiple families. I was a summer nanny/tutor for a family from when the youngest child was going into 4th grade until she was going into 10th grade. In 2022 I spent the summer/fall nannying every other weekend for a children who wasn’t 1 yet.
I have had many experiences with multiple ranges of children.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing board games, puzzles, sensory boxes, educational activities based on their age, arts and crafts, themed activities, and anything that requires the children to use their imagination.
I love spending time outdoors whether it is just surrounds ourselves in nature or playing in water. Nature walks, tag, scavenger hunts, and other activities that involve gross motor skills and fine motor skills are just a few things I enjoy doing with the kids I spend time with.

My experience with special needs children...

I spent multiple summers working with a child that had a physical disability where the whole left side of her body didn’t function at full capacity and had to wear braces on her leg and wrists. I would take this child to her occupational therapy appointments.
I have also had years of being a collab teacher in my fourth grade classroom where I have worked with many different children.
