A little bit about me

After over three years with our family, our wonderful nanny, Netsanet (Netsi), is sending our children off to school and looking for a new family to care for. You have probably seen her around the SW DC neighborhood with Eli and Sydney in tow, headed off on an adventure. She has worked with my two little ones (currently ages 4 and 3), since my youngest was 6 months old and has watched my nine year old on the many days off from school during the year. She has been incredibly reliable and loving with our children. We have been so impressed with the way that she keeps them busy with daily outings to museums, the library, play dates with other children in the neighborhood, playgrounds and splash parks (weather permitting). She is responsible for the morning routine, cooking and cleaning up after the kids. She sends multiple photos of the kids throughout the day as updates. She is generally very flexible with her time, giving me time to drop off my eldest at school and get to work on time. Netsanet is Ethiopian, in the US with a green card, and she recently got her driver's license. That said, she is more than competent in getting two toddlers and a stroller onto DC buses and metro. With her experience caring for two children, including infants, at the same time, she is also open to a nanny share. She has been a treasure to us, and we are eager to find a good family for her to work with next. Please feel free to write, if you'd like Netsi's contact information.

Best,
Dianna

A little bit about me

I managed one of the largest private schools in St Charles County for 20 years and I was also a private education sector consultant for numerous preschools and church daycares for 15 of those years as well plus was an area manager several years for one of the largest chain Preschools in Missouri. These are just a few of my qualifications. I'm also a mother of 4 and grandparent of 6 so far. I was in Women's Guild at my church for 20 years working with all ages of other women especially elderly and young moms. I also have over 15 years of professional in home cleaning. I'm well educated and very experienced in all areas involving a home and family. I am a full service nanny. Lowest wage I can accept is $40/hr but ideally $50 depending on your needs as a family. You do get what you pay for though.
