A little bit about me
I've taught in Reggio and Montessori schools and see children as capable, curious individuals. Much of my background is as a lead classroom teacher, and I've also worked as a nanny in share and individual family settings. From 2020 to 2022 I nannied full-time, then returned to teaching before transitioning back into full-time nannying in 2023.
My experience spans infants through school-aged children; I've provided infant care and have extensive experience with toddlers and older kids. I love weaving my teaching background into caregiving: supporting social-emotional growth, encouraging independence, and creating engaging play-based learning opportunities.
I'm reliable, patient, and empathetic. I value building trusting relationships with children and parents and approach every situation with warmth, consistency, and genuine care.

A little bit about me
In addition to my personal experience as a parent, I previously worked at a daycare center in Brooklyn over 15 years ago, where I assisted in caring for children, supporting daily activities, and helping create a safe and nurturing environment. That experience helped me develop patience, responsibility, and strong communication skills.
I am excited to return to the childcare field and use both my educational background and life experience to positively impact the lives of children and their families. I am dedicated, compassionate, reliable, and committed to providing quality care while helping children learn, grow, and thrive.

Understand Nanny Responsibilities in Southside, NY
Before beginning the search for a nanny, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a nanny is the right choice for your child care needs. In hiring a nanny, first, you should think through what responsibilities you expect your nanny to handle. With that information, you can create a profile so that nannies can reach out to you. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. In general, a nanny is responsible for making sure your children’s needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example, housekeeping or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your nanny before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location can impact how much you should pay your nanny.
Southside Nanny Interviews
Once you start connecting with prospective nannies, the next step is a nanny interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some nanny interview questions to consider asking:
- Do you have experience being a nanny?
- How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?
- What sort of household tasks are you open to doing?
- Are you open to a live in arrangement in Southside? Do you have experience being a live in nanny?
- Are you open to being a nanny in a nanny share?
- Do you have any references?
- Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in Southside?
- Do you have a driver’s license in NY? Do you own a car?
- What salary are you seeking? Are you open to being paid through direct-deposit, pay stubs?
- What are your expectations around over-time pay and vacation time?
During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references, and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a prospective nanny, it’s essential to make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your nanny.
