A little bit about me

I am retired from Whirlpool Corporation and within one year I became a Nanny for a wonderful Doctor and her husband. She had unusual hours and I had flexibility. This couple had just had their first son and I loved him from Day 1. I took care of this precious little baby and within 3 years I also cared for his newborn brother. After another 2-3 years my husband and I left Plano for Nashville, TN. It was a hard decision to leave but my son was in Iraq fighting the war and he needed us to help his wife as she was ill and had two little toddlers. We stayed for 6 years and last August we moved to NRH to be close to our daughter and her family, and their 1 year old son. Before all of this I spent a year working through a Nanny group and found that I truly was doing what I loved to do. After 32+ years in Corporate work I knew what I had missed during those years that I was working and raising my two wonderful children, a boy and a girl. I am very qualified and I love children and I always give them my undivided attention. I am CPR trained and I took a class to know the proper ways to assist a child that is sick or wounded. I spent many hours with the First Responders so I would be trained to care for our 50+ employees if an accident occurred. I have allot more to say but my conclusion is simply that I love children and I have cared for many infants and various ages. I hope you will contact me so we can meet. Sincerely, Linda Dudley

A little bit about me

Hello!

My name is Ilaisa’ane Leota (eli-saw-nae) but I just go by Saane (saw-nae). I am currently working as a teller supervisor/banking officer at Prosperity Bank in Grapevine and I was looking for a part time job to do afterwards. I am 22, I am Tongan and Samoan, and have lived in this area all my life. I have never been paid for childcare but due to the amount of family I have, I have been taking care of children almost my whole life. I come from a very loving household with both parents while also being close to all my family. There is nothing I wouldnt do for them. So, I am willing to learn and do what is necessary and more to satisfy your needs for your children. I love taking care of other people let alone children so I would be more than happy to be a part of this experience.

A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Kenley Reeve and I am 22 years old. I grew up in central Florida, but moved to NRH a little over a year ago for my husbands new job. I always had a passion for children, I grew up with four siblings and over twenty cousins. But I discovered I loved working with kids when I moved here and began working at a Montessori Preschool in the infant room. I absolutely adored my job but I wanted to be able to focus on helping and focus on one family and child.

Understand Nanny Responsibilities in North Richland Hills, TX

Before beginning the search for a nanny, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a nanny is the right choice for your child care needs. In hiring a nanny, first, you should think through what responsibilities you expect your nanny to handle. With that information, you can create a profile so that nannies can reach out to you. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. In general, a nanny is responsible for making sure your children’s needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example, housekeeping or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your nanny before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location can impact how much you should pay your nanny.

North Richland Hills Nanny Interviews

Once you start connecting with prospective nannies, the next step is a nanny interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some nanny interview questions to consider asking:

  • Do you have experience being a nanny?
  • How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?
  • What sort of household tasks are you open to doing?
  • Are you open to a live in arrangement in North Richland Hills? Do you have experience being a live in nanny?
  • Are you open to being a nanny in a nanny share?
  • Do you have any references?
  • Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in North Richland Hills?
  • Do you have a driver’s license in TX? Do you own a car?
  • What salary are you seeking? Are you open to being paid through direct-deposit, pay stubs?
  • What are your expectations around over-time pay and vacation time?

During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references, and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a prospective nanny, it’s essential to make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your nanny. You can do this by being clear about your expectations around nanny responsibilities and compensation, and of course, by being friendly and welcoming!
