A little bit about me
I’m currently a nursing student with a lifelong love for working with children. Caring for kids has always been a big part of my life, and I truly enjoy supporting families in any way I can whether that’s through light housekeeping, meal prepping, or simply spending quality time engaging with children.
I would be honored to bring a positive, dependable presence to your home and help make your days a little easier. I hope to be the kind of support you’re looking for in a nanny, and I’d love the opportunity to get to know you and your family.

A little bit about me
Starting as an art teacher for kids(ages5-15), I spent many hours teaching drawing, painting, and fine art technique to kids willing to learn. Working with their own personal interests and natural creative flow, I helped many kids find their confidence to express and communicate through art.
Later on, I took up work as a preschool teacher. Working with young toddlers and infants, I learned so much about patience and the importance of being a great role model.
I hope to make a career in enriching the lives of young kids while providing a safe environment for them to grow happy and healthy.

Understand Nanny Responsibilities in Mountlake Terrace, WA
Before beginning the search for a nanny, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a nanny is the right choice for your child care needs. In hiring a nanny, first, you should think through what responsibilities you expect your nanny to handle. With that information, you can create a profile so that nannies can reach out to you. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. In general, a nanny is responsible for making sure your children’s needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example, housekeeping or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your nanny before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location can impact how much you should pay your nanny.
Mountlake Terrace Nanny Interviews
Once you start connecting with prospective nannies, the next step is a nanny interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some nanny interview questions to consider asking:
- Do you have experience being a nanny?
- How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?
- What sort of household tasks are you open to doing?
- Are you open to a live in arrangement in Mountlake Terrace? Do you have experience being a live in nanny?
- Are you open to being a nanny in a nanny share?
- Do you have any references?
- Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in Mountlake Terrace?
- Do you have a driver’s license in WA? Do you own a car?
- What salary are you seeking? Are you open to being paid through direct-deposit, pay stubs?
- What are your expectations around over-time pay and vacation time?
During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references, and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a prospective nanny, it’s essential to make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your nanny. You can do this by being clear about your expectations around nanny responsibilities and compensation, and of course, by being friendly and welcoming! And of course, as you learn how to hire a nanny, Nanny Lane's nanny services are here to help you along the way.
Daycare vs. Hiring a Nanny
Choosing between putting your child in daycare and hiring a nanny can be a tough decision. While nannies are often more expensive, they provide individualized attention and flexibility. Daycares, on the other hand, prioritize socialization. Our Nanny vs Daycare guide can help you determine what's best for your family.
