More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I’ve had the privilege of working in a daycare setting caring for multiple children at a time, as well as babysitting for many families, several of whom I’ve worked with regularly for years. I have experience with all ages from a few days old to preteens, though I do have a love for those sweet toddler years.
I’ve especially cherished my time as a nanny for a few lovely families. From energetic, truck-loving little boys to gentle mini artists, every child I’ve cared for has taught me something new and helped me grow as a caregiver.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love incorporating exploration into our days! Whether it’s morning trips to the children’s museum, library, or local parks, or spontaneous afternoon adventures to the pet store, nearby farms, or even a trolley ride. These outings aren’t just fun, they’re meaningful opportunities to support the rapid growth and development that happens in the first eight formative years of life.
Beyond outings, I love getting creative with kids. From drawing and collaging to singing songs, building fairy houses, or inventing our own games, imaginative play is at the heart of so much learning. Supporting children as they develop confidence in their creativity is one of my favorite parts of this work. There’s truly nothing like watching a two year old’s imagination take off and seeing them begin to create entire worlds all on their own.

The most important part about being a nanny...
While supporting developmental milestones is a key part of being a nanny, I believe nurturing emotional growth is just as important. The way children are supported in their early years shapes how they move through the world, both now and into adulthood. Helping kids build emotional awareness, distress tolerance, and self-regulation lays the foundation for lifelong resilience.
This includes modeling that it’s okay to say “no,” to express their needs, and to learn their own limits with reassurance and care. I believe loving, predictable boundaries help children feel secure and confident.
Above all, my goal is to be a calm, compassionate presence so children feel safe, understood, and supported as they grow.

My experience with special needs children...
During my time working in a daycare setting as well as homes, I’ve had the privilege of caring for children with a wide range of abilities and developmental needs including ADHD and ASD.
These experiences have strengthened my empathy, patience, and adaptability as a caregiver. I firmly believe that childhood development is not one size fits all and that every child grows at their own pace and in their own way. While I stay mindful of developmental milestones, I understand that every child is different.
I’m committed to learning what works best for your child and supporting your family in a thoughtful, personalized, and collaborative way.

The most important part about being a nanny...
A few months into one of my full time positions, when the sun began setting early and playground afternoons weren’t as doable, my nanny boys and I started a new routine. We’d put a “fake fire” on the TV, snuggle under a blanket, and read books until it was time for me to head home. It was simple, nothing like our big outings to Build-A-Bear or the children’s museum, but it was cozy and calm.
In those quiet moments, I watched my older nanny kid begin to open up more, letting his true, silly self shine through without hesitation. Seeing that comfort and trust grow is something I’ll always treasure.
I still see them a few times a month and they always request a fake fire and bedtime stories after our French toast dinner parties- proof that the simplest traditions often become the most meaningful.
