"Sarah was a dependable, responsible and respectful babysitter. She arrived on time and was ready to engage with my children. She played with my kids and they had fun with her. She knew how to be responsible for their needs while I was away whether that was making sure they were fed or needed changed, handling sibling arguements, etc...and that gave me trust that they were in good hands."

"Sarah was the best with my kids! My girls now ages 12 and 8 still talk about her, even though she hasn’t cared for them for 5 or so years. She not only watched the kids but always picked up dis the dishes and made sure the kids were well behaved. She is super patient and kind. Always willing to give her full attention to the kids. A lot of child care providers right now just sit around in their phone. Sarah was never like that. She is smart and can assist in school work and music. She by far has been the best child care provider I have ever hired. We miss her a lot. She still texts or calls the girls in their birthday. Hire her she is great."

More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I’ve worked with children in a wide range of settings—as a babysitter, nanny, summer camp counselor, teacher, Vacation Bible School leader, and daycare employee at an Early Childhood Education center. I’ve been babysitting since I was 12 for many families, primarily caring for children under 5. One family had 9-month-old twins and a 2-year-old, and I cared for them regularly for two years. I have nannied for two different families.
As a summer camp counselor, I managed other staff and was responsible for planning activities and overseeing the daily care and well-being of 30–60+ campers for our week long, overnight camps.
In the classroom, I’ve worked with students from PreK through 12th grade, including children with special needs such as ADHD, Down syndrome, and varying degrees of autism.
I have a clean driving record and, due to teaching, passed a required state background check in 2024. I’m happy to complete another background check for seriously interested families.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Reading, movement activities, games, dances, exploring music, coloring/tracing/fine motor skills, playing outside, going to the park, nature walks, building block towers, and using our imagination to create things!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Doing what is best for the kids and their family. I want the routine that we adapt to during the day to work for the family at night. I want to enforce behaviors that are supported by the parents. It is not my job to tell parents how to do theirs. My job is to be part of the village it takes to raise children!
My experience with special needs children...
I taught students with autism, Down syndrome, ADHD, Tourette's syndrome, depression, and anxiety. My experience with special needs is strictly in the classroom but I am completely capable and willing to learn how that transfers to home life. In my undergraduate degree, I had the opportunity to take multiple classes regarding mental health, child development, working with special needs children, and classroom management strategies for students with special needs.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I nannied for a family part-time four summers ago. On my last day before returning to college, I made sure to have an extra special day with the kids. Saying goodbye to them was very hard - and they didn't make it easy on me! When I left I got dozens of hugs, hand made cards, and lots of "I love you's" from them. I am told by their parents that they still ask about me every summer.
